Seville is an ultra-modern capital city of the Andalusia autonomous community, as well as the Seville Province in Spain. Seville is located conveniently on the southwestern region of the Iberian Peninsula along the famous Guadalquivir River. One of the largest and most populated cities of Spain, Seville, has also been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site with three different locations of the same.
Seville was established by the Romans and conquered by the Muslims in 712. Over the decades and through several ages, Seville eventually has developed into the commercial, educational, cultural, and historic hub of the region.
Several stunning architectural landmarks dot the city, beginning with the intricately designed Metropol Parasol that looks even better in the night neon lights. The Cathedral of St. Mary of the See remains a crucial spot in Seville, as does the military watchtower of Torre del Oro and the royal Alcazar of Seville. The train Bridge is another attractive spot in Seville, beautifully passing over the Guadalquivir River and connecting the heart of the city to the Triana region.
A visit to Seville is incomplete without a stroll along the Plaza de Espana, a stunningly intricate structure that goes as far back as 1928. Several museums and galleries around Seville offer the public views of extra-ordinary art and craft masterpieces that were done by renowned artists from over the years.
Several water activities take place along the Guadalquivir River, including swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing, among others. Beside the river, numerous stalls and kiosks line up with various goods and products for the public. Food joints and eateries serve both local and fusion dishes for visitors touring along the river. Also along the river promenade are several clubs, bars, and discotheques that have people enjoying their drinks and music as they sample the vibrant entertainment life of Seville.

When to visit Seville

Seville enjoys a Mediterranean climate of Köppen Csa. The weather generally features extremely hot, humid, and dry summers and mildly cold, wet winters. The precipitation registered across the year is moderately low, totaling to 539mm (21.2") from only fifty and a half days the entire year.
Seville can be visited at any time of the year. However, the travel seasons peak between April and May, during spring and between September and October, during autumn. The summer months are incredibly scorching, and they may become unbearable to some people. The winter months, too, are mildly cold and somewhat rainy, therefore posing some interruptions while touring Seville.
Spring has excellent weather, with the absence of the winter cold and the summer scorch, making an excellent time to visit. The beauty of the blossoming flowers fills Seville, and the air is fresh and scented - an excellent time for picnicking and photography.
Autumn, too, is an excellent time for outdoors in Seville, since the summer heat has calmed down as winter approaches. The fall foliage subjects the city to unique magnificence with its golden-brown illumination, making the crisp air even better under the lovely weather.
On varying dates between March and April, Seville celebrates the Holy Week amid religious parades and processions as well as mass celebrations. Two weeks later, in April, the Seville Fair is held, and locals come together to party amid food, drinks, and dance in several venues in the city.
